Simon Says – Food Sustainability

Welcome to ‘Simon Says’ our food focused feature raising awareness of sustainability, responsible sourcing and sustainable initiatives we have introduced at Yarnfield Park. ‘Simon Says’ is hosted by our very own Chef Simon, who leads our kitchen team here at Yarnfield Park.

In each episode Chef Simon will talk us through different ingredients we use in our meals here at Yarnfield Park, recycling initiatives and equipment we have in place to help reduce CO2 and our impact on the environment.

Sustainability and the environment are a huge focus for us here at Yarnfield and as part of The Venues Collection, but with no impact to the delicious-ness of our meals! Our kitchen team work hard each day to create a tasty range of tempting meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, to ensure our guests tastebuds are satisfied,  nutritional needs met, allergens catered for – and all with a kinder approach to the planet.

We appreciate the important part food plays in the meetings and events industry. Keeping guests satisfied and looking forward to their meals during days of training or learning is a vital part of a successful event. As a large training, conference, meetings and events venue welcoming hundreds of guests  and serving over 1000 meals on average, each week, in our on-site restaurant, we feel it is our responsibility to drive sustainable processes within our kitchens and our operations.
