5 fundraising ideas for your office this Christmas

It’s that time of year again! It seems only a few moments ago that we were blogging about planning Christmas parties. But December is almost here and we’re preparing for an exciting month at Yarnfield Park – the perfect venue for the not-for-profit sector.

At Christmas, we know that many businesses organise exciting events, often to raise money for charity. So we’ve put together 4 ideas to get you in the Christmas spirit and have some fun!

Christmas Cinema Screening

An easy fundraising idea! Choose your favourite Christmas film, set it up in a meeting room during lunchtime and provide tasty festive snacks. Charge a small fee for entry, sit back and enjoy.

Music and Mulled Wine

The perfect combination. Keep the office open a little later, crack open the mulled wine and play your favourite Christmas songs. For a non-alcoholic option, what about Gingerbread coffees? Donations for the drinks are sure to come rolling in.

Christmas Jumper Day

The obvious! Ask colleagues to find the craziest Christmas jumper possible and suggest a donation of a few pounds to wear it to work. To encourage participation, you could provide a prize for the wackiest jumper.

Gingerbread Decoration Day

Get set for an hour of creativity – gingerbread decorating! Plain gingerbread men can be purchased for a relatively low cost too. Encourage colleagues to enter the decorating contest for a small cost then vote for the most impressive artwork. As well as decorating, eating the biscuits afterwards can be quite fun too…

Do you need a venue for a charity event? Choose Yarnfield Park! Charities, religious groups, organisations and associations return regularly to use our impressive facilities to deliver exciting events. We have over 300 bedrooms too, so overnight accommodation is available.

Should you require any information about our facilities, please get in touch.
