The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP)
The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a voluntary home visiting programme for first time young mums, aged 19 years or under. A specially trained family nurse visits the young mum regularly, from the early stages of pregnancy until their child is two. The national delivery of FNP is led by the FNP National Unit, which also supports local organisations with implementation, as well as working in partnership to improve the health, social and economic well-being of young parents and their babies.
“The FNP National Unit have held numerous training events at Yarnfield Park for a number of years. These training events have successfully accommodated group sizes from 25 to 100 delegates, with training events lasting from 2 to 5 days. For the larger training events, the Knighton Suite has given plenty of space and is well equipped.
We have also used many of the smaller meeting rooms as break-out rooms for training events, all of which serve us well.
It is critical for the FNP National Unit to ensure that our delegates have an environment conducive to learning and Yarnfield Park provides this from the meetings rooms, catering, on-site accommodation and, above all, their service. Each training event has different, very specific requirements and the team at Yarnfield Park have always been able to accommodate these in the lead up to, during and after each training event. It is for all these reasons that FNP National Unit will continue to return to Yarnfield Park for the foreseeable future.”
