Methodist Homes Association

In November 2013 Yarnfield Park opened its doors to the Methodist Homes Association (MHA) for the first time. The MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for 16,000 older people throughout Britain.
The Biennial Chaplains Conference which ran for 3 days saw 200 delegates visit Yarnfield Park. Of these 100 stayed on site for 2 days, whilst the rest were day visitors. Their plenary sessions for 200 cabaret style were hosted in the Knighton Suite, whilst 7 other rooms were used for breakout sessions.

Cath McIntosh, the organiser, commented as follows:

“Yarnfield Park conference centre was perfect for the type of conference we needed .It was clean, tidy and well looked after.
The staff at Yarnfield couldn’t have done more to help. They were the best conference staff I have ever used in the 30 years I have been organising conferences. Simon, Mark and Neil couldn’t do enough to help and were always on hand. The reception staff were also excellent even when the requests by delegates were frustrating and obscure.
The excellent wifi and audio/sound equipment was state of the art, easy to use and helped to make the conference a much smoother and professional event.
The chef Simon was very helpful when I had a delegate with difficult dietary requirements and even went through the menus to ensure there was something the guy could eat. The staff were knowledgeable about the food content which helped when 10% of my delegates had special diets.

I would highly recommend the Yarnfield centre and have already done so. We may well return when we host our next conference in 2015. WELL DONE YARNFIELD IT WAS EXCELLENT.”
